The Coalition of Services of the Elderly, Inc. (COSE), in partnership with Caritas Germany, conducted a Learning and Exposure Visit to its Community-Based Care initiatives for older persons in Northern Samar, with the participation of representatives from the Department of Health (DOH), National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), United Senior Citizens, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The Municipality of San Roque was selected as one of the learning sites for the visit.
The activity aimed to provide stakeholders with direct observation and hands-on learning of COSE’s community-based programs and services for older persons. As part of the visit, a coordination meeting was held with DSWD San Roque, together with the Municipal Health Office/Rural Health Unit (MHO/RHU), Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA).
